چکیده مقاله :
Today, the excessive use of fossil fuels has caused to release of significant amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2) gas that has posed major risks to the environment and ecosystem. To solve this problem, researchers have presented different solutions including smart recovery and conversion of this gas to value-added products considering the green chemistry points of view. Among them, the direct coupling of CO2 with epoxides to firm cyclic carbonates have been received more attention since the carbonates have extensively been used as pharmaceutical intermediates and apolar solvents.[1] However, due to the high thermodynamic stability of CO2, its utilization is typically required an active catalyst. The covalent triazine frameworks (CTF) categorized as nitrogen-rich materials have been recently employed as effective catalysts for the mentioned CO2 conversion due to their unique properties.[2] Herein, we would like to report that cycloaddition of CO2 to terminal epoxide could be selectively performed in the presence of a metal supported on nitrogen-rich CTF catalyst and tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) as co-catalyst under 10 bar CO2 at 70 ºC as mild reaction conditions.
