Preparation and Complexation of 2, 2'-[l ,2-ethanediylbis-(nitrilomethylidene)]bis-furane as catalyst in the synthesis of 1-(benzothiazolylamino)aryl methyl-2naphtol

چکیده مقاله :
A heterocyclic structure frequently encountered within medicinal chemistry is the derivative of 1-(benzothiazolylamino)arylmethyl-2-naphthol, an amalgamated heterocyclic compound with diverse applications in the pharmaceutical sector . These compounds play a pivotal role as fundamental structural components in the creation of valuable pharmaceuticals, including anticonvulsants, antitumor agents, and anticancer drugs. Schiff base can interact with most metal ions and produce various complexes. Within this investigation, we successfully synthesized a zinc(II) Schiff-base complex . This synthesized Schiff base was used as an efficient homogeneous catalytic system for the one-pot multicomponent synthesis of 1-(benzothiazolylamino)arylmethyl-2-naphthol (Scheme 1). The method offers several advantages, including less time, high efficiency, green chemistry conditions, simplicity of work, and use of non-toxic solvents.
