Synthesis of new Chalcone containing Triarylmethane units

چکیده مقاله :
Chalcones are an aromatic ketone in which two aromatic rings linked through a three carbon α, β unsaturated carbonyl system, and they are a novel category of compounds with substantial properties such as antimicrobial, antifungal, antiviral, anticancer and etc... [1,2] The present work involves a new chalcone which is containing triarylmethane (TARM) units that is synthesized in 3 steps. At first, the coupling reaction of 4-Formylphenylboronic acid with 4-Bromoacetophenone was occurred. Secondly, the solventless Fridel-crafts alkylation reaction of arenes such as veratrole with the aldehyde, catalyzed by Silicotungestic acid was done. At the last step nucleophilic reaction has been carried out between 4-Methylbenzaldehyde and TARM and obtained chalcone. The structure of all compounds elucidated by 1H-NMR and 13-NMR Spectroscopy
