The photocatalytic nanofibers containing ferrocene-modified graphitic carbon nitride for wastewater treatment

چکیده مقاله :
To resolve the contaminated water-related issues and high degradation of organic dyes from the aqueous media, a photocatalytic nanofibrous system was prepared through 1) modification of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) with ferrocene to produce Fc-g-C3N4, 2) incorporation of Fc-g-C3N4 into a conductive nanofibrous matrix of polyaniline (PANi) in blending with polyacrylonitrile (PAN), and 3) fabrication of the photocatalytic nanofibers (NFs) through blending electrospinning. The morphologies of the particular form of photocatalyst, Fc-g-C3N4, and the photocatalytic NFs were recorded by FE-SEM. The dyes photodegradation experiments showed more MB degradation than MO over both the particular form and nanofibrous form of photocatalyst.
