Preparation of modified nanomagnetic alginate as a green catalyst for the multicomponent synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyridine

چکیده مقاله :
Magnetic nanoparticles have attracted great attention due to their extensive applications in various scientific topics, including catalysis [1]. Their facile magnetic separation process in compare son with centrifugation, extraction, and filtration has been considered their best advantage [2]. Their wonderful properties like high surface area, low toxicity, oxidation resistance, biocompatibility, and magnetic properties converted these materials into worthwhile supports in the design of development reusable catalysts [3]. Synthesis of biocompatible magnetic nanoparticles employing natural polymers is distinguished as an imperative subject in green chemistry. So, A novel acid nanobiocatalyst (MNPs@Alg-Pr-His) was synthesized using available materials (nanomagnetic alginate core) via a facile strategy. After characterization, its efficiency was investigated in the synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives (Scheme). This nanobiocatalyst showed remarkable catalytic activity in both reactions under mild reaction conditions This catalyst showed good recyclability with no significant loss of catalytic activity after five runs.
