چکیده مقاله :
One of the key objectives of chemists is to achieve high-speed chemical reactions. A method that can be adopted to obtain such a goal is to conduct reactions in magnetic solvents. When water is subjected to a magnetic field, it exhibits remarkable changes, including alterations in refractive index, electric dipole moment, electrical conductivity, specific heat, permeability, enthalpy of vaporization, surface tension, viscosity, and density. In photocatalytic reduction processes using semiconductor nanoparticles, the utilization of beta-cyclodextrin (β-CD) on the surface of titanium dioxide (TiO2) enables the inclusion of organic molecules within the β-CD pore, resulting in improved performance of the modified catalyst TiO2-β-CD in photocatalytic reactions. One of the major challenges in photocatalytic reduction processes using semiconductor nanoparticles is the limited amount of raw material. Therefore, finding a pathway to address this issue is highly significant. It can be expected that the use of a biphasic system alongside beta-cyclodextrin as a phase transfer catalyst (PTC) would lead to reduced reaction time, lower solvent requirements, fewer side reactions, and consequently, increased reaction efficiency. In this project, a novel approach is reported for the reduction of nitro aromatic compounds by increasing the amount of raw material and utilizing biphasic systems with magnetized water in the presence of β-CD-modified TiO2 as a phase transfer catalyst (PTC) under UV LED light.
