DFNS/IL/Ru nanoparticles as efficient catalyst for the quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-diones

چکیده مقاله :
The transmutation of waste into valuable materials has a special place in green chemistry. Herein, we reported chemical composition of 2-iodoaniline, isocyanides, and carbon dioxide to prepare quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-diones in the presence of Ru NPs stably placed on the surface of dendritic fibrous nanosilica by ionic liquid (DFNS/IL-Ru) as a catalyst. This is a great economic strategy to create three bonds in one-pot multicomponent reaction step employing functional groups. With the aim of preparing the catalyst, the dendritic fibrous nanosilica surface was first activated using IL to be employed as a substrate to support Ru NPs. IL acts as a stabilizing and reducing agent for Ru nanocatalyst and eliminates the need for a reducing agent. The highest amount of quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-diones was obtained under ideal situations in the presence of 5 mg of DFNS/IL-Ru under carbon dioxide (1 atm) utilizing a balloon set at 70 oC for 3 hours. Thus allowing its being potentially applicable for green and economic production of quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-diones especially from the low-cost feedstocks.
