چکیده مقاله :
Chlorobenzenes are widely used in chemical reactions as precursor for manufacture of chemicals, pigments, pesticide or solvents for oil, wax, resin, rubber. They are prepared in various methods, liquid phase or gas phase. The gas phase is less common in industry due to its high temperature and low efficiency because it makes the reaction uncontrollable and leads to higher chlorobenzene formation. The choice of a catalyst can affect not only on the rate of a chemical reaction but sometimes can also control the nature of the products. In this research, experimental studies on the liquid phase of benzene chlorination in batch wise process are carried out. The effect of the amount of catalyst with constant mass flow on the efficiency of chlorination products was investigated . It was observed that of the amount of 0.65 grams, by increasing the amount of the catalyst up to 1.3 grams, the yield of the product (chlorobenzene) and the percentage of the progress of the reaction It gradually increases and After That decreases.
