چکیده مقاله :
Heterogeneous catalysis plays a part in the production of more than 80% of all chemical products. It is therefore essential that all chemists and chemical engineers have an understanding of the fundamental principles as well as the applications of heterogeneous catalysts. Ullmann-type N-arylations have long been employed for the synthesis of various molecules and intermediates, suitable for a large number of biological, medicinal, and pharmaceutical applications,1 and, therefore, they belong to the most important transition metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. However, Cu-catalyzed N-arylations have often been found to require harsh reaction conditions and displayed a poor tolerance towards other functional groups. Hence, development of an eco-friendly, efficient and cost-effective procedure for Ullmann reaction has received growing attention. Continuing our research,2-3 herein, Iono-C@Si-Py/CuFe2O4 was synthesized and applied for promoting Ullmann reaction in aqueous media. First, a mesoporous carbon was synthesized via Ionothermal method. Then, the obtained mesoporous carbon functionalized and magnetized with CuFe2O4. The catalytic capability of Iono-C@Si-Py/CuFe2O4 catalyst was examined in Ullmann reduction of aryl halides and aromatic and aliphatic amines under aqueous and mild conditions. The result shows that this heterogeneous catalyst represents the excellent catalytic activity and high stability towards Ullmann reaction. Moreover, the catalyst could be successfully removed from the reaction mixture by using a magnetic field and also recycled for 9 consecutive reaction times with slight loss of the catalytic activity
