Mont@SiO2-NAA-H2PO4IL: An efficient catalyst for the synthesis of pyrazolopyranopyrimidines

In order to take advantage of the advantages of heterogeneous catalysts [1,2] in improving the process of organic chemistry reactions, this project tries to report a cost-effective and environmentally friendly method to synthesis of heterogeneous catalyst and investigation of its activity in multi-component reactions. In this research, montmorillonite was functionalized by TEOS, CPTES, nitriloacetic acid and H3PO4 and a nanocatalyst containing acidic ionic liquid, Mont@SiO2-NAA-H2PO4IL, was synthesized. Further, the catalyst structure was identified by TEM, ICP-OES, XRD, FTIR, BET, TGA and SEM/EDX techniques. The catalytic activity of Mont@SiO2-NAA-H2PO4IL was investigated in the multicomponent reaction of pyranopyrazolopyrimidine with the synthesis of 36 derivatives, and all compounds obtained with high yields in short times. In addition, this catalyst was easily separated from the reaction mixture by simple filtration and was reused up to 10 times without significant decrease in catalytic activity
