Facile fabrication of Fe2O3@SiO2/CuO-MoO3 nanocomposite for degradation of methylene blue

چکیده مقاله :
Designing metal oxide-based materials as a highly efficient catalyst is essential in environmental remediation. Herein, a new type of Fe2O3@SiO2/CuO-MoO3 nanocomposite was synthesized and employed as an efficient and reusable nanostructure for methylene blue degradation. The nature and structure of the catalyst were investigated using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Vibrating Sample Magnetometry (VSM), and Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy (DRS). The short reaction time, easy separation of the catalyst due to its magnetic property using a magnet, and contribution to environmental preservation and health are the advantages of this approach. The current study provides new insight to develop metal oxide-based materials for improvement in water treatment and remediation.
