چکیده مقاله :
Acne is a skin condition that causes blemishes and breakouts, especially on the face, shoulders, back, neck, chest, and arms. It happens when sebum and dead skin clog hair follicles and cause inflammation. Acne is one of the 10 most common diseases in the world and the most common inflammatory skin disease, despite its cosmetic appearance, its effects can be much deeper than the surface of the skin and impose a heavy emotional and psychological burden on patients, which may be much worse than the physical impact. be A change in skin appearance may lead to a change in body image, which in turn leads to anger, fear, shame, anxiety, depression, embarrassment, and bullying and stigma in the peer group. Lack of self-confidence, social isolation, feelings of insecurity and inferiority, limited job opportunities, functional and interpersonal problems at work, and suicidal tendencies have also been reported and attributed to the effects of acne. The severity of acne can range from mild to moderate to severe. An increasing number of young women also suffer from acne, which significantly reduces their quality of life. The cause of acne is known to be multifactorial. This condition has many reasons, both external and internal, that contribute to its occurrence, including the main causes of hyperkeratosis of hair follicles and excessive production of sebum. Genetic factors also play an important role. It has been shown that about 50% of adult acne patients confirm the presence of the disease in their first degree relatives. Acne appears with non-inflammatory and inflammatory pimples on the skin. Most skin lesions appear in areas with the largest number of sebaceous glands. The so-called micro black seeds are created in the fat units of the hair. Then they turn into blackheads (open or closed) which subsequently turn into papules and finally into pustules. This condition may be mild and transient and only have a few blackheads that are easily removed by pressure. They may be mild and not worrisome, or they may be severe, persistent and very disfiguring, in more serious cases often leaving a permanent scar.
