Use of green and efficient catalysts for knoevenagel condensation

چکیده مقاله :
Knoevenagel condensation is one of the most useful reactions in organic chemistry because the products of this reaction are suitable intermediates in the preparation of heterocyclic compounds and compounds with biological activity. In this research, knoevenagel condensation reaction was performed using various aromatic aldehydes and active methylene compounds in the presence of renewable catalyst. In the present research, the interaction of aldehydes with active methylenes with molar ratios (1:1) was carried out in the presence of Water Extract of Banana (WEB) and Water Extract of Orange Fruit Peel Ash (WEOFPA) (green catalysts). The resulting products were identified with the help of FT-IR and HNMR methods. The use of green catalysts created products with higher efficiency. The method used in terms of greenness, simplicity, use of available raw materials, reduction of reaction time, good to excellent yield of products, single-stage reaction and easy product extraction, from an economic and environmental point of view for the synthesis of organic compounds, is very It is noticable.
