Chitosan Based Molecular Imprinted Polymer for Oxaliplatin Release

چکیده مقاله :
A selective chitosan-based molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) system was prepared for oxaliplatin using glutaraldehyde as a crosslinker. Also, graphene quantum dot (GQD) was synthesized by the pyrolysis of citric acid and incorporated into chitosan through electrostatic interactions and H-bonding. The CS MIP (without GQD) and nonimprinted polymer systems (NIPs) were prepared and used as controls. The synthesized systems were characterized by FTIR, XRD, and SEM. Then, the kinetic, isotherm and drug release studies were evaluated. According to the results, the first-order kinetic model and the Langmuir isotherm showed better agreement with the experimental data. The comparison of drug release in different pH (1.2, 7.4 and 10) showed that the CS-GQD MIP system is pH-sensitive and maximum release was obtained at acidic pH, where the accumulative release amount of drug was up to 80% within 8 h.
