FDU-12@AGA-Pd: A novel,green, recyclable, and highly versatile catalyst for C-C bond formation and synthesis of 1H-tetrazoles derivatives

In this work, a novel and efficient nanocatalyst through the immobilization of AGA-Pd onto the inside of mesoporous silica FDU-12 channels was successfully synthesized by a simple procedure. The catalytic activity of the described catalyst was investigated for the synthesis of the Suzuki reaction and 1H-tetrazole derivatives. In this research, the catalyst was prepared by the immobilization of Palladium on ordered mesoporous silica (FDU-12) coated with 2-Amino-5-guanidinovaleric acid (AGA). N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms indicated excellent BET surface area for FDU-12 and FDU-12@AGA-Pd is 627.27 and 106.69 (m2 /g) respectively. The physical and chemical properties of raw and modified samples (FDU-12, FDU-12@AGA-Pd) were characterized by TGA, EDX, BET, XRD, ICP, Map, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analyses. This designed nanocatalyst offers several advantages including the use of inexpensive materials and commercially available, high yield, short reaction times, and simple procedure. The synthesized mesoporous nanocatalyst was recovered and reused in five continuous cycles without considerable change in its catalytic activity.
