Investigating the absorption kinetics of methylene blue color pollutant

In this study, the adsorption kinetics of methylene blue color pollutant on Ag/AC/SBA-16 nanocomposite as adsorbent was investigated. For this purpose, Ag/AC/SBA-16 nanocomposite was synthesized in the first step [1]. To confirm the nanocomposite structure, XRD, FTIR and SEM analyzes were prepared from the samples [2]. Then, pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models were investigated to find the best kinetic model for the adsorption of methylene blue color pollutant on Ag/AC/SBA-16 nanocomposite [3]. The results showed that the absorption process of methylene blue on Ag/AC/SBA-16 nanocomposite corresponds to the pseudo-first order kinetic model with the regression coefficient R2 = 0.9996 [4]. Figure 1 shows the chemical structure of the colored pollutant methylene blue.
