A novel complex of gadolinium on graphene oxide nanosheets as a as a practical, selective, and reusable nanocatalyst in C-C coupling reaction

چکیده مقاله :
In this work, magnetic Graphene oxide (MGO) was prepared using Ni-magnetic nanoparticles. The surface of MGO was modified and then a novel Schiff-base complex of gadolinium has been immobilized on its surface (Gd-Schiff-base@MGO). The catalytic activity of Gd-Schiff-base@ MGO was investigated in the synthesis of biphenyls through Suzuki cross-coupling reaction. The obtained biphenyls were characterized by NMR spectroscopy. This nanocatalyst has been characterized by ICP, SEM, WDX, EDS, XRD, TGA, FT-IR, BET and VSM techniques. The VSM curve of Gd-Schiff-base@MGO shown that this catalyst can be recovered using an external magnet and reused for several times (Scheme).
