Physicochemical evaluation of the effect of natural zeolite modification on the adsorption of dye

چکیده مقاله :
Abstract Adsorption process is used in removing dye from wastewater due to its high efficiency, low cost, convenience and simplicity. In the present study, clinoptilolite (CP) zeolite was modified using the NaOH. The XRD pattern and FT-IR spectrum show that the CP is properly modified. The adsorption of methylene blue (5 ppm) by natural and modified clinoptilolite zeolite (0.3 g/L) was investigated for 20 and 40 minutes. The removal efficiency with the modified zeolite is higher than the original raw sample.
