چکیده مقاله :
Coating on metals refers to the process of applying a protective layer or film on the surface of metal objects. This coating is usually done to improve the appearance of the metal, improve its durability, protect against corrosion, and other functional properties. In this study, the copper sheet was brush-coated with an emulsion resin composite containing titanium dioxide nanoparticles. To determine the structure of the material, infrared spectroscopy analysis (FT-IR) was used, which revealed that, the resin is based on acrylic-styrene copolymer. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis was used to determine the surface morphology and distribution of the sample on the copper sheet surface and it was observed that the distribution of nanoparticles in the polymer matrix is almost homogeneous and no apparent agglomeration of nanoparticles is seen on the surface of the sample. Also, the surface roughness of the coating measured by atomic force microscope (AFM) analysis is 4.31 nm. The results of the investigation indicated that the adhesion and transparency of the coating were suitable; however, the uniformity of coating achieved with this method is not optimal
