Investigation of kinetic release of levothyroxin from nanoclay/chitosan nanocomposite

. In recent decades, research in the field of nanotechnology and its applications in medicine has been carried out extensively. In this regard, this thesis studies the effect of chitosan nanoparticles using tripolyphosphate tertbutylpyrophosphate (TTP) on drug release. A nanoparticle polymer has been developed as a potential platform for drug delivery. In this research, different samples of nanoparticles with different concentrations of TTP were prepared and during a certain period of time, the cell viability was measured. The results show that with increasing TTP concentration, cell viability decreases. Then, zero-order, first-order, second-order, Higuchi and Peppas kinetic models were used to analyze the data and fit them. The results show that the zero-order model has the best fit with the data and has the ability to adequately describe the effect of TTP concentration on drug release.
