A new magnetic covalent organic framework: catalytic application for the preparation of sulfonamide-linked pyridines

چکیده مقاله :
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) emerging as a new class of porous and crystalline polymers linked by strong covalent bonds, have received considerable attention for their great potential applications in gas storage and separation, catalysis, smart sensors, optoelectronics, energy storage, among others. The high porosity, functional versatility, easy modification and outstanding stability of COFs make them ideal materials for catalysis applications. Pyridine, as the heart of heterocycle chemistry, has been used in various areas such as catalysis, coordination chemistry, supramolecular structures, materials and surfaces engineering, and polymer science. At the same time, heterocyclic compounds with sulfonamide groups (-S (=O)_2-NH-) are considered important chemical compounds in terms of chemical and biological activities. These compounds have a crucial functionality because of theirs wide variety of biological and pharmacological activities such as anticancer, carbonic anhydrase inhibitory, antibacterial, antitumor, anti-inflammatory and antiprotozoal activities. Therefore, our goal was focused on the preparation of heterocyclic compounds, consisting pyridine fragment and the sulfonamide group by using a new magnetic COF as catalyst
