One-pot synthesis of novel polycyclic quinoline derivatives via Knoevenagel condensation-Michael addition and cyclization reaction

چکیده مقاله :
Quinoline skeleton is an important part in natural compounds with a wide spectrum of biological and medicinal activities. Due to the fact that quinoline and its derivatives show excellent biological properties, it has received a lot of attention in recent years. The chemistry of quinoline is particular interest due to their potential applications in medicinal chemistry as antimicrobial, analgesic, antitumor and therapeutic agents [1-2]. In this research, we succeeded in synthesizing of new heterocyclic compounds that are derivatives of benzoyl-3-tetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoline through one-pot Knoevenagel condensation, Michael addition and cyclization reactions (Scheme). Scheme: One-pot synthesis of novel polycyclic quinoline derivatives.
