چکیده مقاله :
Pharmaceutical residues enter the environment and pose risks. Antibiotics are widely used in human and animal production. Tetracycline (TCH) is commonly used but its residues are difficult to remove. Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) that generate hydroxyl radicals can remove organic pollutants in wastewater. Sonochemistry based on acoustic cavitation can also oxidize contaminants. Layered double hydroxides (LDH) like NiFe LDH have excellent adsorption properties and can remove heavy metals. Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) is a metal-free sonocatalyst but has low activity. Doping g-C3N4 with heteroatoms and combining it with LDH can improve its sonocatalytic activity. The nanolayer structure of NiFe LDH/g-C3N4 can generate more electron-hole pairs, improving degradation of TCH residues.
