چکیده مقاله :
One of the biggest challenges for humanity is water pollution from factors such as crude oil spills, heavy metals, and cooking oil waste, which endangers the health of humans. By removing pollutants from aqueous media, it is possible to have beneficial effects on the health of humans and living organisms. In this research, first, cooking oils were converted into biodiesel by transesterification method, and then copolymerization with acrylic acid monomers and unsaturated biodiesel was synthesized in order to absorb crude oil from the aqueous media. Emulsion copolymerization of biodiesel with acrylic acid was set for 30 minutes at 80 °C at 3 factors with 4 levels in 16 steps. Then factors such as monomer ratio, solution electrolyte, and amount of radical initiator were investigated. Optimizing the synthesis of B-CO-AA adsorbent by the Taguchi method revealed that with a 2:1 ratio of acrylic acid to biodiesel and 1.36 M NaCl solution, the radical initiator amount of 3% by weight is the optimal value for the desired copolymer synthesis. According to the results of the Taguchi method, the first effective factor is the monomer ratio, the second is the soluble electrolyte, and the third is the amount of radical initiator.
